Building a dome involves different design considerations than conventional wood or steel construction. Whether you’re contemplating residential or commercial construction, a nominal amount of expert help before the start of a specific project can save you costly mistakes and delays in the future. Expert help from Maurice Dubois is available by phone or at your location.
Your first order of business is to determine what your ultimate goals are. If you’re looking to build a home, you need to figure out how much room you need, the number of bedrooms, baths, and living areas. Take a look at the home you now occupy and decide which rooms work for you, and which rooms need additional size or features that can make living more comfortable.
If your interest is in industrial or commercial building, you’ll need a good idea of space requirements and budget.
Once you’ve determined your needs, a feasibility study will help you decide what type and size of dome required. We can design the floor plan and front view of the dome, and provide an approximate cost of the completed building. Once you’re ready to build, we will quote a price to do a set of construction drawings, or we will recommend an architect who will produce the complete set of plans for your project; we’ll also be happy to consult with your designer, engineer, or architect so they can produce the plans for you.
The feasibility study includes a design of the floor plan of your dome and a front elevation according to your word-picture of the home. Also included is one set of changes of the floor plan and elevation. Fees for feasibility studies are as follows:
